Engine Rebuilds
Starting with our full diagnostic suite, the engine rebuild has become something of a lost art. We remove, test compression, disassemble, inspect and send the block and major components to our machine shop. From there, using only factory specifications and OEM parts we clean, re-assemble and then re-install your engine. Full engine rebuilds start at around $1400 and of course can go up to $7,000+ for diesel or large displacement engines.
Replacement hot-swaps
In a hurry and need to get back on the road ASAP? Consider our in-stock engine hot-swap service. With over 100 engines in stock, you will find this to be the fastest way to get back on the road.
If you have a rare, european or unique car- finding a hot-swap engine can often be challenging. Our network of salvage suppliers can get you *almost* any engine within 7 days.
Hot swap and direct replacement services range in price. A good rule of thumb is $2500 for 4 cylinders, $4000 for 6 cylinders and $7500 for V8s. Diesels engine swaps are usually $8500 to $10K but obviously reach out to our team for a binding, written estimate.
The Hail-Mary pass
It’s 4th and 15 wtih 2 seconds on the clock. Call our team if you need a hail mary pass. With the advent of next-generation sealant, lubricants and chemical processes to extend the life of your engine, sometimes (but not often) we can utilize these processes if the cost of replacement or rebuilding doesn’t make it cost effective for your situation.
These are most effective on larger displacement engines. We always recommend tying in the sealant option with new head gaskets, spark plugs and a quick tune-up.
If you have a turbo or interference motor, these are not an option.
B.Y.O.M
Bring your own motor. We are one of the last shops that still allow you to provide your own replacement motor. We cannot provide normal warranty coverage – but our labor-only warranty guarantees that the install will be done right. We will provide a leak-down test, quick diagnostic and written labor estimate prior to install. This is a great solution if you know the exact history of the engine you provide, but be forewarned these ebay and marketplace motors can have hidden problems we won’t find out about until we start it up. So, the gamblers option is still alive and well here. Just don’t leave us a bad review!

New Crate Engines
For Hyundai, Kia and some asian cars we have crate engines in stock. Typically if you have your own extended warranty this may be the solution for you.
